An early morning call has lead to weapon charges in Pembroke.
Police were called to the 400 block of Nelson Street. They say they responded to an unwanted person call on Wednesday morning. While police were at the residence, they seized a prohibited firearm belonging to the unwanted person.
A 19 year old from Pembroke has been charged with careless storage of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and unauthorized possession of a weapon. Police also say that the serial number of the weapon had been tampered with, leading to an additional charge. The accused was released on a promise to appear in Court in Pembroke. Due to a domestic dispute aspect relating to the investigation, the name of the accused has not been released.
