Numbers for the Terry Fox Run rebounded this year.

Organizer Colette Mantifel previously told myBarrysBayNow.com that attendance for the run had been dropping in years past. After this weekends run, Mantifel said that this year 48 runners participated. It is an increase of last year’s 26.
Mantifel said that $2317 was raised this year. She said it was just slightly down from last year, but not by much. She said the event usually raises around $2000.
Mantifel said she would like to thank the Madawaska Valley Township, Metro, Valumart and Tim Hortons for their donations to the run. She also wanted to thank all the volunteers who came out to help organize the run.
