Volunteers for local schools and minor hockey will have more time to get background checks.

Local school volunteers will be able to apply for checks on September 17th at the Renfrew Detachment and September 25th at the Arnprior Detachment. Both locations hours will be from 4 PM until 7 PM. Renfrew OPP says that the hours are only extended for those who are volunteering at local schools. Applicants must have a request record from the school and the proper paperwork. OPP says that no other checks will be taken this time.
