Renfew County’s Housing Market Continues to be Hot

Renfrew County’s housing market has set another sales record.
The Renfrew County Real Estate Board reported that 187 units were sold in August. This is a ten percent increase of sales over last year and a new record for the month. This comes as the board says that the supply of homes is at the lowest level in a decade. They say there were less than 700 listing of residential units, almost 30% less than this month last year.
The total value of all sales in august was $48.3 million, which is a 20% jump from last august and another record for the county. The total value of all properties sold was recorded at $52.4 Million. The Real Estate Board says that 2019 is on track to be the best year for home sales activity in the region. Housing prices rose slightly to just over $258,000 on average.
