An environmental assessment is underway to stabilize the bank of the Madawaska River.

The township of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan is undertaking the assessment around River Bend Drive at the intersection of County Road 515. The township says it has become a priority due to the condition of the bank, the lack of proper drainage and degradation of the road. The township says it owns the property that will receive the treatment, which will occur at Lot 23, concession 18. Once the assessment is done, the township says that it will go ahead with construction to combat erosion.
