The fire bans in two townships have been lifted.

Madawaska Valley Fire Department says that with the recent rainfall, the fire ban has been lifted. They say that cooler temperatures and heavy dew at night has also lead to the decision to rescind the ban. According to the town website of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards, they have rescinded their fire ban as well as of Friday.

Both townships still maintain a daytime burning ban. Fires may be lit 2 hours before sunset and must be extinguished 2 hours after sunrise. Certain burning must also require a permit.

Other parts of the county are still under a full burn ban. Bonnechere Valley Fire Department has downgraded its fire ban from a level 2 to a level 1.
