A senior’s council is the first step for the new Age Community Plan in the town of Petawawa.
This is according to a management consultant that has been working with the plan.
So far they have collected surveys, had focus groups and conducted a community forum.
There are 12 goals they are aiming to meet in order to make Petawawa senior friendly.
Included in those are increasing senior involvement within the community and keeping housing affordable.
The Age Friendly Community Plan was started last fall and was approved by council last week.
