Pembroke OPP Raid Leads to Drug Trafficking Charges

A search warrant has been executed in Pembroke by Upper Ottawa Valley OPP.

The Community Street Crime Unit and Emergency Response Team executed the warrant on August 15th. The search was carried out in the 1000 block of Lea Street. Police say they seized a quantity of drugs, cash and stolen property. As a result of the investigation two adults and a young person were charged with Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substance Act offenses.

34 year old female and 32-year-old male of Pembroke have been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. The woman also faces two charges of Posession of property obtained by crime, One over and another under $5000. The 17-year-old unnamed young person from Oshawa has been charged with Possession for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over and under $5000, as well as one charge of obstructing police. All three were released on promise to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in October.
