The 2016 budget has been released by the town of Deep River.
Property taxes are on the rise to the tune of 2.74 percent.
For an average property valued at 200 thousand, the increase will be almost 70 dollars a year.
In return, capital projects being planned are a $1.2 million for pool upgrades as well as $800,000 being set aside for the Deep River Road and Algonquin Street project.
One of the issues the town dealt with is a decrease in funding from the Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund.
