Pembroke has approved its budget for 2016.
Included in the budget is a 2.6 percent hike in property taxes.
Also, water fees will rise to cover the cost of maintaining the water system.
The average household will pay an extra $15 a month.
Sewer costs are also increasing $37 from last year.
In exchange, taxpayers can expect $15 million in capital investments.
Some planned projects include a new firehall, reconstruction of Agnes Street and construction of the McGee Street pump station.
