A small forest fire is being combated in Laurentian Hills.
MNRF says the fire is between Algonquin Park and Petawawa. The fire is said to have started on Monday around Sand Lake. MNRF says the fire is being held where it is and is about 0.7 hectares in size. No word yet when it will be extinguished.
This is the second forest fire to pop up in Renfrew County this month. Earlier a small fire was quelled by MNRF around Iron Lake. It was put out in a matter of days.
