Upper Ottawa Valley OPP have made a drug bust in Pembroke.
OPP’s Community Crime Street Unit made the arrest in a parking lot of a hotel on Pembroke Street West on Thursday. The male subject was wanted on a warrant for failing to attend a court date. He was required in court to answer a criminal code driving charge. The subject and vehicle were searched leading to seizure of drugs and stolen property.
A 46 year old has been charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act as a result of the investigation. He faces 3 counts of possession of a schedule I for the purpose of trafficking. Each count is for cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamines. He has also been charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5000. The accused is being held for a bail hearing and will remain in custody following a court appearance today in Pembroke.
