New sessions related to this springs flooding have been announced.
The sessions around Renfrew County are to inform residents of what financial assistance they could receive and to inform residents about how to apply for aid.
One session will be taking place on July 23rd at 3 PM in the Eagles Nest in Eaganville. Another will take place at the Shady Nook Recreation Centre in Laurentian Valley on July 24th at 3 as well. Two more will also be taking place in Horton and Westmeath townships.
The meetings come as MPP for Renfrew Nippissing Pembroke John Yakabuski has named a special adviser on flood management. The adviser will assess groups who had a hand in flood management and look for opportunities for improvement. The adviser will also offer feedback and recommendations to better plan for future flooding.
