Communities In Bloom Garden Contest Winners Announced

The Best Gardens in the community have gotten their due praise.

A ceremony for the Communities in Bloom gardening awards was held at the Valley Manor on Friday. The ceremony was attended by Community in Bloom judges Lucy Chang and Evelyn Alemamni. Ms. Chang said she was happy with the number of the gardens in the valley and praised what she called a community of gardeners. Ms. Alemamni said she was wowed by the gardens in the Madawaska Valley.

The judges will now be off to other areas competing with the Madawaska Valley. A decision is expected to be made sometime in September.
