On July 5th, Bancroft OPP responded to a call for an ambulance on Hybla Road in Hastings Highlands around 9 PM.
Officers along with paramedics went to the scene and spoke with a man who said he had fallen and hurt himself while in his home. The man, who had non-life threatening injuries to his back, spoke to the officers when they arrived and told them what had happened.
After more investigating, officers found a female on the property who told them she and the man had gotten into a fight. The 50-year-old Bancroft resident was placed under arrest and charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.

She was held in Kingston pending her bail hearing.
