The long weekend had a pair of casualties in Petawawa.
Upper Ottawa Valley OPP is investigating a criminal mischief case in a town park. Two deer statues located on the corner of Murphy Road and Petawawa Boulevard were found vandalized the morning of July 2nd. Town staff called police that day, reporting the damage to be significant.
Police are currently on the hunt for suspects. They believe the damage was done between 9 PM on Canada Day and 6 AM on July 2nd. Anyone with information is asked to contact OPP.
