A new record for home sales has been set in Renfrew County.
301 units were sold in May, a 38% increase from the same month last year. 775 units have been sold for the first 5 months of the year. That is only 4 transactions away from a record set in 2011.
Average housing prices rose by 2.9% from this point last year. Listings were down to 343 with 820 active listings at the end of may. The number of active listings were down 22%, making this the lowest level of supply in May since 2010.
Another record was broken for total home sales in May. $80.1 million in inventory was sold, making that a 42% increase since 2018. It beat the previous record by $20 million.
