Chinook Helicopters Ready to Take Off

The first class from the 450 Tactical Helicopter Squadron has graduated their training course for the CH-174F Chinook helicopter in Petawawa.
A total of 10 aircrew, including six pilots, two flight engineers and two loadmasters, successfully completed the 24 week training course.
This was the first full course offered in Canada and is the next step in the Chinook helicopters reaching full operation.
The training includes computer-based classroom and academics, flight simulator training and actual flying.
The Helicopter Squadron will now be providing training for all of the aircrew.
