Second Suspect in Renfrew Assault Arrested

A second man in connection with an assault in Renfrew has been arrested.

34 year old Darren Pearce had been considered dangerous by police. He was located early today. Pearce faces a number of charges including attempted murder, robbery with violence, uttering threats to cause death or harm, aggravated assault, and assault with a weapon.

Another suspect was arrested earlier. A 30 year old male from Mississippi Township has been charged with attempted murder as well. He is also charged with robbery, aggravated assault and failure to comply with probation. Pearce has a bail hearing on June 20th.

The assault happened on Argyle Street North in the Town of Renfrew. A 37 year old male was airlifted to hospital in Ottawa on June 16th. The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Renfrew OPP at 613-432-3211.
