Public Consultation Meetings Scheduled For Flood Victims in Eganville

A public meeting for Flood affected residents will be held on Saturday June 22nd.

The event will be held for property owners in townships Of Killaloe, Brudenell, Bonnechere Valley, Wilberforce, Pikwakanagan and South Algonquin , as well as residents of the Madawaska Valley. MPP and Minister of Natural Resources John Yakabuski will be there along with municipal leaders. They will host a panel alongside provincial, federal and other organizations that had a hand in managing water levels during the floods. The groups will make presentations and answer questions from the public.

The event will be held at the Eagle’s Nest on Jane Street in Eganville. It is one of four meetings going on in the county on Saturday the 22nd and Sunday the 23rd. The other meetings will be held at the Pemborke Community Center on the 22nd, Westmeath Arena on the 23rd, and Parish Hall in Arnprior later that Sunday.
