February 1st to 7th Declared Eating Disorder Awareness Week In Pembroke

The Mayor of Pembroke has declared February 1st to the the 7th Eating Disorder Awareness Week.
The Mayor hopes to break the shame and silence behind the illness.
He says that eating disorders have the highest mortality rate among all mental illnesses.
Close to one million Canadians are effected by eating disorders.
The Mayor hopes that the week will prevent the illness by raising awareness.
