A Truck Driver has been charged with driving with Cannabis in reach.
OPP received complaint about the Tractor Trailer driver passing through Laurentian Hills the morning of May 26th. Police pulled the tractor trailer over and assessed the situation.
The 39 year old from Quebec has been charged under both the Highway Traffic Act and the Cannabis Control Act. He has been changed with Careless Driving and having Care and Control of a vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available. The driver was placed out of service for 24 hours.
OPP reminds drivers of any Commercial Motor Vehicles that they cannot have any cannabis or alcohol in their system. The same goes for young and new drivers.
