The Barry’s Bay Train Station had its grand re-opening on Bay Day Saturday.

Members of town council and the station keepers were on hand to open the historic location. Station Keeper’s Director Barry Conway was there to welcome the community to the newly renovated station.

The grand opening comes as the station celebrates its 125th anniversary. Coffee and cupcakes were served at the meet and greet hosted by the Station Keepers. The museum offers a number of exhibits about the old train line. The station is the last one standing from the old Ottawa-Arnprior-Barry’s Bay Line.

Visitors could sign up for a number of cultural clubs at the station as well. Mr. Conway said has a number of projects he will expand in the coming months at the museum.
