A fire in the Township of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards claims the life of one person.
Killaloe OPP Constable Catherine Yarmel says that yesterday afternoon around 3:40, the OPP responded to a call about a fully engulfed house fire on Mountain View Road. She adds that the investigation continues today with the Ontario Fire Marshalls Office, the Office of the Coroner, the OPP Forensic Identification Services, and the Renfrew County Crime Unit, all on location.
She says that police have located the remains of one body, which has yet to be identified. The cause of the fire is still unknown and she states that it is deemed to be non-suspicious.
