Keep an eye on how you consume water.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) has extended its flood warning for Pembroke District and health experts of Renfrew County and District Health Unit are advising homeowners to be vigilant if their wells were affected by flooding.

They say that you should boil your water before consumption, buy bottled water or find another potable water source.

They add that flooding can also affect your septic system. If so, they suggest that you reduce your usage by limiting toilet flushing, dishwashing, laundry and showering.
