Townships Offer Free Sandbags

They are free and could protect your home from flooding.

With the MNRF’s flood warning in effect and upcoming rain, many townships of Renfrew County are making sure you know where to get your sandbags, and how to use them.

Madawaska Valley Township says that sandbags can be made available by calling the municipal office at 613-756-2747. For more information on how to properly use sandbags and information on flooding safety, click here.

North Algona Wilberforce Township have them available at the sand dome in Golden Lake and Shaw Woods Township Office garage. To read their press release, click here.

Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Township residents can find them at the Township yard, for more information and to check road closures in BLR, click here.

Township of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards have them available at Roads Yard behind the garage, at Round Lake Fire Hall and behind the Municipal Office.
