The Region Celebrates National Canadian Film Day

3… 2… 1… Action!

Tomorrow is National Canadian Film Day and your community wants you to join in!

Tomorrow’s annual celebration of Canadian cinema highlights its 100th year of “action” (pun intended) by showcasing over 1000 screening events worldwide.

If you’re a movie lover and want to get in on it, the Township of South Algonquin Public Library has got you covered. The Whitney Library will be pressing play on Stephen S. Campanelli’s 2017 feature film, Indian Horse. Doors open at 7:30 and the movie will start at 8:00 tomorrow night.

Don McKellar’s 2013 flick, The Grand Seduction, will be on at Madawaska Library in Madawaska at 8:00 as well, with doors opening at 7:30.

To cap it off, on Thursday, the Bonnechere Union Public Library in Eganville will also be taking part in the festivities which will start at 5:00 PM. The first movie will be Window Horses followed by You Are Here: A Come From Away Story.
