Trying to hurry might end up slowing you down.

Constable Tina Hunt of Renfrew OPP says police stopped four speedy drivers in a span of two days last week. The four charges were laid on April 4th and April 5th when police were out patrolling. On top of that, three out of the four were stopped on Highway 417 near Arnprior. The other was intercepted on Highway 132 in Admaston/Bromley Township.

Constable Hunt says that, with these weather conditions, drivers shouldn’t be hurrying. She says that even though it’s spring, the roads aren’t indicating that it’s spring. “When roads are slippery and wet, make sure you’re driving to the conditions of the road” she says.

Hunt says three of the four men who were charged for racing a motor vehicle and excessive speed and are set to appear in court next month. Thankfully no one was hurt.
