Caller Phones Renfrew OPP About Impaired Driver

A caller contacts the OPP which results in the arrest of a 49-year-old woman.

The Renfrew OPP sent out a release about last week’s activities, from March 25-31.

They say the responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle in Admaston-Bromley Township on Saturday. Police then conducted a traffic stop which resulted in the arrest of 49-year-old Danielle Weeden of Renfrew who has been charged with impaired driving. The OPP says their investigation concluded that she was over the 80-milligram limit. She was released on a promise to appear in court on April 17, 2019.

In two other traffic stops, on Highway 17, Police reported that last Wednesday the Renfrew OPP charged 43-year-old Jeremy Cecil for racing a motor vehicle and using excessive speed.

On the same day, the OPP stopped a 66-year-old male of White Water Township. Craig Oattes was charged for driving with a suspended license and will appear in court on May 10th, 2019.

In other cases, on March 29, 2019 officers of the Renfrew Detachment investigated a traffic hazard call in the Town of Renfrew. As a result of the investigation, Kyle Gilmore, 40-years-old of the Town of Renfrew has been charged with 2 counts of possession of a schedule one substance. He was released on a promise to appear in court on May 1, 2019.

Renfrew OPP Officers with the Renfrew Detachment are also investigating a break and enter to a residence on Daniel Street North, in the Town of Arnprior. This incident was reported on March 27, 2019. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Renfrew OPP.
