Environment Canada released a Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Barry’s Bay – Killaloe
  • Petawawa – Pembroke – Cobden
  • Renfrew – Arnprior – Calabogie

They say a significant snowfall is expected Saturday.

They add that snow will begin Saturday morning and continue into Saturday night. Total snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm are possible.

Travel may be difficult as untreated roads become snow covered and slippery.

This snow is the result of a low pressure system that will track over Southern Ontario on Saturday. There remains considerable uncertainty in the exact track of this system and the associated precipitation. Snowfall Warnings may be required.
