North Algona Wilberforce Township is taking steps towards making sure their residents’ homes are safe this spring.
The township announced that there are now 250 empty sand bags at the sand dome in Golden Lake and 250 more at the Shaw Woods Township Office garage.
They add that that sand is also available at both locations, free of charge and that after usage, bags can be returned from their pickup location for correct disposal.
Like many other townships in Renfrew County, they say that they’ll be monitoring weather conditions closely to ensure appropriate measures are in place.
