Cheryl Gallant says “What could they possibly be hiding that is so diabolically corrupt?”.

The MP for Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke says this following the testimony given by former Attorney General Jody Wilson-Raybould on the SNC-Lavalin case. Gallant says “When she was speaking, in her first few sentences, it was like the ground shook, what she said was just so unbelievable”.

Gallant says that having Prime Minister Trudeau agree to letting her testify shows that the Liberals are hiding something else.

She says that the only solution to the scandal is to have a full, open public, judicial inquiry, the way they did with the Gomery Commission in 2004-2005.

She adds that Wilson-Raybould clearly stated that she had been pressured to go back on a decision that had already been made and adds that there should never be pressure towards the judiciary.
