Get inspired by the great outdoors tomorrow night.

That’s because the Paddling Film Festival is coming to Pembroke.

Coordinator of the festival Ray Bretzloff says that for their 14th edition, the tour will feature 3 to 30 minute films from the world’s best outdoor adventurers. He says that you’ll see anywhere between 8 to 10 films tomorrow. The festival also includes doors prizes and a mingling period during the intermission.

Bretzloff, a Madawaska Valley native who now lives in British Columbia, says that you don’t have to be a paddler to enjoy the films. He says that the goal is to inspire people to enjoy nature and that the festival is only a vehicle that helps.

“The films will include different paddling genres like canoe, kayak, white water rafting and they really do come from all corners of the world” he says. Bretzloff states that the films also feature stories about family and environment. The festival starts at 6:30 Friday, March 8th at Dineamics Food and Drink in Pembroke. Part of the proceeds will go to graduate expedition. For more information click here.
