Pembroke’s Columbus House to Receive Funds

The Province is lending a hand to those who lend a hand.

John Yakabuski, MPP for Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke says the Province is investing in agencies who provide vital services to children and families.

He announced that Pembroke’s Columbus House will be receiving $8500 for building repairs including plumbing work that needs to be done.

He says that helping our community maintain and upgrade these kind of agencies makes sense, and he says the Province wants to make sure buildings are safe so they can provide quality services for years to come.

Yakabuski adds that our local agencies work hard to help people who need extra support and says that those who rely on this service in Pembroke will have a safer place.

Overall, through the annual Partner Facility Renewal Program, the Province is investing a total of 1.6 million dollars in more than 60 projects that will repair community agencies in Ontario.
