An 18-year-old Pembroke man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after allegedly stealing a truck and driving it to Ottawa.
According to the OPP, the man had made threatening remarks on social media before heading into the city.
Police found the stolen truck on Highway 17 and Panmure road.
According to police, when confronted, the man locked himself in a store bathroom and repeatedly stabbed himself in the chest.
He was rushed to hospital.
The Special Investigation Unit has assigned several officers to the case.
