Snow Alert: Tonight and Tomorrow

Environment Canada has released an additional weather alert statement for Tuesday night to Wednesday morning in the following regions:

Barry’s Bay – Killaloe – Petawawa – Pembroke – Cobden – Renfrew – Arnprior – Calabogie

The statement says:

“Snow tonight and Wednesday with freezing rain possible Wednesday.

A Colorado low will track northeast across Lake Huron and Georgian Bay Wednesday, with snow likely followed by freezing rain later Wednesday.

Snow will arrive tonight and continue into Wednesday, before becoming mixed with or changing to freezing rain later in the day. Snowfall amounts will range from 5 to 10 cm over the Ottawa and St. Lawrence Valley areas, with 10 to 15 cm expected further west towards Georgian Bay.

Environment Canada is closely monitoring this situation. Freezing rain warnings may be required by Wednesday as this event draws closer.

Poor winter driving conditions are expected.”
