The Warden of the County of Renfrew, Jennifer Murphy, got elected once again.

Murphy, also the Mayor of the Township of Bonnechere Valley, has gotten elected for a second term to serve as the Vice-Chair of the Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus (EOWC).

A statement was released on the County’s website saying that the inaugural meeting was held in Kingston last week. The caucus is said to represent about 750 000 residents. With the Mayor of the City of Kawartha Lakes, Andy Letham acting as Chair, Murphy says she is pleased to be returning as Vice-chair of the caucus and says one of her top priorities is to improve the cellular broadband network across eastern Ontario. She adds that she will continue to ensure that the region’s voice is heard within the Province.
