The same day the My Barry’s Bay Now news team released a snowmobile safety story, the OPP is asking for your help in the case of a stolen snowmobile.

Constable Shawn Peever of the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP says the snowmobile was stolen on Darcy Street in Pembroke between December 21st and 24th. The machine is a red and black 2000 Polaris XC 700.

Peever says any help from the public in the investigation is appreciated. He says the public can be on the lookout online where thieves usually try to quickly resell stolen items. Or else, he asks snowmobilers to keep an eye out on the trails. The machine has the marker ON875050 on it. The keys were believed to have been left in the ignition Peever says, but nothing is confirmed at this time.

He says if anyone has any tips, you’re asked to contact the Pembroke detachment of the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP. You can also contact Pembroke/Renfrew Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or click here.
