A collision in the Township of Admaston Bromley leaves a teenager in critical condition.

A release was sent out by the OPP’s Killaloe detachment with an update on Tuesday morning’s incident involving a school bus and a passenger car on Cobden Road, North of Barr line. The bus was unloaded.

The release states that the driver of the car was a 17-year-old male from Eganville and the driver of the bus was a 72-year-old male from Douglas.

Michael Nolan, Chief Paramedic for the Renfrew County Paramedic Service says the driver of the bus sustained non-life threatening injuries while the driver of the car is in critical condition. He states that the 17-year-old driver had to be eventually flown to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa on trauma bypass with life threatening, critical injuries.

The OPP says that the bus was traveling eastbound and the car was traveling westbound on Cobden Road when the head on collision took place. The OPP says the cause is still unknown. Cobden Road was closed all morning and afternoon and has since been reopened.
