A Cannabis Advisory Group meeting was held at the Madawaska Valley Township Municipal Office on Tuesday.
Michael Barber, Media Relations and Grants Coordinator for the County of Renfrew says he was asked by the Madawaska Valley Township to present some of the research he’s been working on for the last 2 years in regards to cannabis in municipalities.
He says that the topic of cannabis is very large and that at the end of the day, the meeting’s goal was to present information so the municipality can make an informative on whether they are interested in having cannabis retail stores in their municipality. Barber points out that the deadline to make a decision is set for January 22.
