The Township of South Algonquin will be hosting St Nick this weekend.

Ramona Brown, one of the coordinators of the Township of South Algonquin’s Santa Claus Parade says the annual event will celebrate Christmas, but also, the community of South Algonquin. She highlights the fact that the Whitney Recreation Committee and the entire community have come out and helped make this year’s parade come true.

She encourages businesses and people to register their float in the parade and says that the best 3 floats will receive cash prizes for their efforts. The winner will receive $75, the runner up will get $50 and third place will get $25.

She says the parade will start at the beach area and end at Brown’s Auto & Truck Repairs which won’t block anyone driving through on Highway 60.
