Trails Still Closed Despite Snowfall

Despite the recent rash of promising weather, the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs warns riders that it is still unsafe to use the trails.
They stress that there isn’t enough of a base yet to protect riders from hidden obstacles or rough terrain.
They point to the lack of consistent temperatures have led to a soft ground that isn’t suitable for riding.
They say that based on the current conditions, the OFSC provincial trail system will not be active until the first week of January.
