The Municipality of Madawaska Valley swears in its newly elected members.
Monday night’s council meeting saw new and returning faces as the municipal office celebrated its new council.
Experienced politicians David Shulist and Mark Willmer were the new guys at the table as Carl Bromwich and Ernie Peplinski re-claimed their seats.
Returning Mayor, Kim Love talked to us about some of the exciting changes coming their way such as having a committee of the whole, where all of council sits on every committee. She says she thinks this will be effective as it will keep every Councillor engaged.
Love also adds that she likes the new group as they bring a lot of experience to the table. She says having Councillor Mark Willmer is a big asset as he brings experience from another town which can add freshness and perspective.
Council meetings will now take place every first and third Tuesday of the month.
