The Community Resource Centre (CRC) of Killaloe want donations for their toy drive.

Executive Director of the CRC, Bill Smith, says that although the CRC provides a wide variety of programs throughout the year, their annual food and toy drive is one of big importance. He says people can donate new and gently used toys in order to make a child’s Christmas a little brighter.

Smith says their focus is serving communities like Barry’s Bay, Killaloe, Whitney, Combermere, Palmer Rapids, Eganville and Cobden.

He adds that last year, the CRC gave toys to almost 250 children in the community. He says that if you wish to donate to the toy drive, multiple drop off spots are located in Barry’s Bay (The Barbershop, V&S Stedmans and Mad Outdoors). He also encourages donors to bring them in at their head office at 15 Lake Street in Killaloe. Smith did tell us that they never refuse any donations, but an ideal date of December 10th has been set for toy donations in order to get them packaged and delivered on time for Christmas.

The CRC will also be on site at the Barry’s Bay Santa Claus parade on Saturday. They will be accepting food and toys on location.
