A winter wonderland is coming to Renfrew County.

After 6 years of helping children in need, the Child Poverty Action Network of Renfrew County, also known as CPAN, are back again with The Festival of Trees.

Lyn Smith, executive director of CPAN says their event will be bringing Christmas to Renfrew County a month early. The Petawawa Civic Centre will be transformed in a winter wonderland on November 17th. With many Christmas trees decorated by sponsors, a woodwind quartet, and a live band, she says it’s impossible not to have fun.

Smith says every year the event keeps raising more funds for a great cause. Last year CPAN raised over $41 800 for child poverty and hope that they can match or exceed that amount this year and like she says, every single penny goes to help low income families in the Renfrew County.

Celebrate Christmas early this year with CPAN and help out children living in poverty across the Renfrew County. For more information on CPAN and The Festival of Trees visit their website by clicking here.
