A Braeside resident is $650,000 richer thanks to OLG’s new lottery game.
Gina Barrisault of Braeside won $650,000 after spinning to win OLG’s new game. The new game was launched earlier this week. Barrisault is a reitred support service worker.
“I enjoy playing THE BIG SPIN, so when I heard there was a new version of the game, I bought a couple tickets the first day they were available,” Barrisault said. “I played my tickets at home while enjoying a cup of coffee. When I saw the SPIN prize, I knew I had to go back to the store. I expected I’d win $10 or $20,” she added.
Barrisault spun the wheel at the OLG’s prize centre in Toronto. She says that she had more travels plans, but those have changed after winning the money. “I was born in Newfoundland, so I’ve been planning to see the musical ‘Come from Away,’ but now I’ll be going to see it in New York City,” Barrisault says.
Barrisault also plans to treat her partner of 30 years to a new truck and BBQ. “We’re nature lovers so a new boat is on our minds as well,” she says. She has two kids and five grandchildren so she says she also plans on helping them.
