The Family and Children’s Services of Renfrew County is supporting children and youth one purple t-shirt at a time.

The organization is raising awareness for youth and children’s rights to safety and well-being this month with The Purple Ribbon Campaign.

Executive Director of the FCSRC Arijana Haramincic says the Purple Ribbon campaign has an approximate age of 15 years and has the goal to raise awareness about child abuse and neglect.

The campaign is putting together many events in Renfrew County over the next three weeks in the hopes of raising funds. Some of these events include a trivia night, a free family bowling day at Deep River Bowling Alley as well as a free beginner’s boxing class at the Pembroke Boxing Club. If you want to support the Purple Ribbon Campaign in the Barry’s Bay area, Haramincic says that the Shulist Family Farm will be selling purple ribbon t-shirts to help the cause.
