Contracting company to host turkey giveaway for local families

A local company is trying to make the holidays more affordable for families in the Barry’s Bay area this year.

Daly Contracting is working with Pepin’s No Frills in Bancroft to give away turkeys to 100 families in need. It’s happening December 19th at 11:00am at the business at 33 Stafford Street in Barry’s Bay.

Owner Chris Daly says the company wants to make this an annual event, if there is solid attendance this year.

He says it’s about helping those who are struggling to provide for their children during the holidays.
