Barry’s Bay Terry Fox Run Brings in the Dollars, Even Without a lot of Participants

The Terry Fox Run in Barry’s Bay did just as well as last year, even without a high turn-out

$2,405 was raised this year. Colette Mantifel, Organizer for the Barry’s Bay Terry Fox Run, says that 20 people came out, which is down from he 57 that came out last year. Even with the lower turn-out, the money raised this year was only $65 less than what was raised last year.

Mantifel says she has a few ideas on how to increase turn-out next year. One idea is to challenge businesses and other local groups to create fundraising teams.
