The Smile Cookie campaign in Barry’s Bay got off to a great start.
That’s what Jason Armstrong, the Owner of the Tim Horton’s on 19407 Opeongo Line, is saying on the first day of the campaign. “Almost everyone that came through the drive-through was holding up their smile cookie,” he said.
This year, the money raised will go to support the Madawaska Valley Healthcare Foundation. Armstrong noted that it’s important to him to keep the money raised local.
Last year, Armstrong said around $4,300 was raised. He’s confident they will, at minimum, raise that much this year. “We’re always hoping to do a little more, but we’re confident we’ll at least be the same,” he added.
Smiles Cookies will be available at the Tim Horton’s on 19407 Opeongo Line for $1 for the rest of the week.
